Senior Account Manager Position

Bridgeman Images, the prestigious international fine art & photo archive specializing in licensing fine art, cultural and historical images is seeking a Senior Account Manager to build and maintain key accounts across the editorial sectors. The company’s US operation is located in the heart of New York City on Madison Avenue near Grand Central. The company represents over 2000 museums, galleries, photographers, artists and archives worldwide and its clients include magazine, trade and educational publishers, TV and Film Studios, stationery product companies plus commercial and digital agencies. Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage Bridgeman’s key editorial sectors of Textbook Publishing, Electronic Educational Publishing, Museum Publishing, Auction Houses, Newspapers and Magazines
  • Develop each of these sectors and key accounts whilst looking for new business opportunities
  • Negotiate, implement and manage preferred vendor agreements with the largest accounts, particularly with the textbook and magazine publishing houses
  • Develop new licensing opportunities and pricing models within these sectors
  • Responsible for setting and working towards agreed sales targets
  • Conduct image research, price negotiation and rights management
  • Advise clients on the complexities of licensing, copyright and rights clearances
  • Deliver high quality work in a timely and professional manner
  • Actively participate in a team environment

 Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience licensing within the editorial publishing sectors
  • Experience in rights management, royalty free and subscription models
  • Experience in preferred vendor contract negotiation
  • Working knowledge of the complexities of personality rights and copyright
  • College degree with a background and interest in art and history
  • Accurate, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical expertise
