Don’t be fooled by the silence. I know that I have been rather quiet over the past couple of months, but it is not for lack of work on PACA’s behalf. In October we talked about change coming to PACA; the board, marketing committee and membership team have been busily working to bring about this change. You will soon be seeing results of these efforts.

With our ever-changing industry, PACA has made some adjustments to include and service the broader role of our members. However, we had not completely reviewed our membership levels and criteria to assure that we were being inclusive of new participants in the industry. The membership team and board have been working on developing this initial expansion. Redefined membership criteria and membership levels provide a clearer explanation as to who PACA is and who we should be serving; those involved or have an interest in the licensing, producing and distribution of digital media.

Recognizing that expanding our membership reach requires a renewed emphasis on key features and benefits of PACA membership, we have also been in the process of updating our website. A simplified look and streamlined navigation will allow you to easily access the tools and information you have come to rely on PACA for, and I guarantee make some new useful discoveries. This is still a work in progress, but we expect to roll out the new look shortly. Please stay tuned.

As we know, change is a constant. While we work on the above transitions, we are also positioning PACA for additional growth. Through this process we have benefited from the input of a diverse representation of our membership. As we continue to move forward with developing and expanding PACA’s purpose we would like to hear from all of you. If we reach out to you through a survey or ask you to participate in direct or group discussion, please be ready to share your ideas, thoughts and concerns.

I look forward to hearing from you.
